Elaine Dreeben serves as the Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville, TX. Elaine received a B.A. in religion and psychology from Schreiner University and her M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. A native Texan, she has served as Lilly Pastoral Resident at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX and as Pastor of Canyon Lake Presbyterian Church in Canyon Lake, TX.

Elaine's call to ministry centers heavily on building and nurturing community, within and beyond the walls of the church building. Her ministry has taken many forms from pub theology and coffee shop bible studies to facilitating virtual and grassroots efforts to foster human connection. Elaine has been featured as the keynote speaker at the Mo Ranch College Connection, serves on the Mission Presbytery Committee on Preparation for Ministry, and is active in ecumenical organizations including the Young Clergy Women's Project and UNCO. Her writing has been featured in Fidelia's Sisters and Partners in Prayer (Chalice Press). 

Perhaps Elaine's biggest "experiment" in Christian community has been the growth and nurture of her family-husband, Sam, two young children, and their dog, John Knox.
