The Rev. Mary Jane Cornell is a minister in the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. She was pastor of Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA, for ten years. She is the winner of the 2005 Day1 Sermon of the Year Award.
Mary Jane Cornell served as the Interim Pastor at Northwest Presbyterian Church from May 2007 to May 2008. Mary Jane received her B.A. from Agnes Scott College and her Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary. Before serving at Northwest, she served for 10 years as the Senior Pastor at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.
Prior to her tenure there, she served as an associate pastor, supply pastor, and interim pastor in several churches in the Atlanta metro area and in Tallahassee, FL, as well as part-time chaplain at Agnes Scott College.
She has held various positions with the Greater Atlanta Presbytery, including that of moderator. She and her husband, Gary, an urban planner, have been married for 31 years and have two sons in college.
