Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec - CBOQ

The Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ) is a denomination representing over 300 churches, working together to bring the love of Christ to their communities. CBOQ churches are committed to local autonomy while sharing a collaborative mission to equip leaders, support innovative ministries, and engage in compassionate service.

Founded in 1880, CBOQ has grown to become a major voice in Canadian Baptist life. Its mission focuses on equipping churches and leaders for ministry, from pastoral leadership development to youth and family programs, such as CBOQ Kids and Camp Kwasind. These initiatives help to nurture the next generation of Christians in faith and service.

CBOQ is deeply engaged in responding to social needs, providing crisis support, and fostering new expressions of church in a changing world. Its commitment to ecumenical and interfaith dialogue ensures a relevant and inclusive approach to faith-based community service.

Each year, CBOQ’s Assembly brings together church leaders for a time of worship, prayer, and strategic decision-making to further their impact across Ontario and Quebec. This gathering reflects the denomination’s commitment to unity and mission as they continue to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
