Day1 Radio Ministry Announces Expanded Advisory Board
The Alliance for Christian Media, parent organization of the "Day 1" the media ministry, has announced that 24 new members will join 25 current members of its advisory board effective Oct. 1, 2015. The expanded advisory board, made up of well-known pastors, scholars, and professors, is chaired by the Rev. Dr. Thomas G. Long, Bandy Professor of Preaching Emeritus at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta.

We rely on these outstanding church leaders for ideas, connections, and recommendations for preachers on Day1," said Peter Wallace, executive producer and host of the program.
"With these wonderful additions we have nearly doubled the size of the Day1 Advisory Board in order to broaden and strengthen our relationships with all the mainline denominations today," Wallace added.
The Alliance for Christian Media has produced "Day 1" every week for almost 70 years, formerly as "The Protestant Hour." The Rev. Dr. Thomas G. Long, Chair, is the Bandy Professor of Preaching Emeritus at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, and a Presbyterian minister.
The Rev. Dr. Joanna Adams is a retired Presbyterian leader who has served at First, Morningside, and Trinity Presbyterian Churches in Atlanta, and Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago. She is a trustee of the Alliance for Christian Media.
The Rev. Dr. Fred R. Anderson is the retired Senior Pastor of Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, New York, N.Y.
The Rev. Keith Anderson is Pastor at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church in Ambler, Penn., and the author of books on church communications in the digital age.
The Rev. Dr. Dwight Andrews is Senior Pastor of First Congregational Church UCC in Atlanta and associate professor of music at Emory University. He is a trustee of the Alliance for Christian Media.
The Rev. Dr. Robert Baggott is Senior Minister of the Community Church of Vero Beach, Fla., a United Church of Christ congregation.
The Rev. Dr. Eric Barreto is Associate Professor of New Testament at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. He was ordained by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
